Born in Lons-le-Saunier in 1927, William began his career painting the landscapes of Jura. During his many travels throughout Asia and South America, he became inspired by the beauty of the orchid, and has expressed this passion with hyperrealism. His works are well structured, and marked by precise drawing, and strong tones and contrasts. He presents well structured compositions that are accurate, harmonious, and diverse.

William has received many awards, including the Saint Raphael Gold Medal, and First Place in the Marseilles and Aix en Provence Exhibition.
